General description

Anti-GASP1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total GASP1 protein.
G-protein coupled receptor-associated sorting protein 1 (GASP-1) is expressed at high level in the olfactory bulb, hippocampus, hypothalamus and some thalamic and cortical regions. It is located on human chromosome Xq22. It is also termed as WFIKKNRP or WFIKKN2. GASP-1 has a whey acidic protein domain, a follistatin/Kazal domain, an Ig domain, two tandem Kunitz domains and a netrin domain.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human GASP1.

Immunogen Range: 741-790

Biochem/physiol Actions

G-protein coupled receptor-associated sorting protein 1 (GASP-1) acts as a ubiquitous tumor marker. It plays an important role in the post endocytic sorting process. It is also expected to play a major role in recycling and degradation of several G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs).
