Recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 977 and 1224 of SREBF chaperone protein according to NP_036367
Application
Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: IHC-P: Assay-dependent dilution, WB: 1:1000-1:10000. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.
Biochem/physiol Actions
This gene encodes a protein with a sterol sensing domain (SSD) and seven WD domains. In the presence of cholesterol, this protein binds to sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) and mediates their transport from the ER to the Golgi. The SREBPs are then proteolytically cleaved and regulate sterol biosynthesis. [provided by RefSeq]
