Polyethylene glycols (PEGs) are FDA approved hydrophilic polymers. They are non-toxic, non-immunogenic and non-antigenic, and are widely used in a variety of biomedical applications such as bioconjugation, drug delivery, surface functionalization, and tissue engineering. PEG-NHS is an amine reactive PEG that can react to amino groups of lysine(s) on proteins or other biologics; reaction occurs at room temperature in <1hr at pH 7-8. Stable linker between PEG and NHS ester.

    1. The chain length is not measured for this mPEG NHS. Based on literature, which approximates the monomer length of PEG to be 0.35 nm, the chain length can be estimated to be 8.4 nm or 84 angstroms.
