How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. If I would like to make 1M biotin stock (B4639), what would be the best way?
1 answer-
A 1 M solution of biotin would require a concentration of 244 mg/mL. The maximum solubility tested for this compound is 50mg/ml in 2M NaOH or NH4OH, which results in a 204 mM solution. Similar rates have been reported for DMSO. Heat and agitation may improve the solubility. However, a precipitate may form upon cooling. A search of the literature did not reveal a more efficient solvent for Biotin. The preparation of a 1M solution would have to be determined experimentally.
