Adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction
ESO26 was established from a primary tumour located in the gastroesophageal junction and distal oesophagus of a 56 year-old Caucasian male in 2000 involving lymph nodes and distant metastases. ESO26 was found to be tumourigenic in female NMRI nude mice or NOD-SCID mice.

Preparation Note

Maintain cultures between 2-9 x 105 cells/cm3. Cells are loosely adherent and can be dislodged by gentle tapping or use of 0.02% EDTA solution. 5% CO2; 37 °C.
RPMI-1640 + 2 mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
