Molybdenum disulfide suspension (MoS2) is a 2D single layered transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) in which hexagonal layers of molybdenum atoms are sandwiched between two layers of chalcogen atoms.

Application

Owing to the thickness dependent physical and chemical properties, the transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) based two dimensional (2D) nanomaterials have drawn significant attention recently.[1][2][3] The atomically thin layers of MoS2 and WS2 represent important class of TMD based 2D-material and they find applications in photocatalysis, phtotovoltaics, gas sensing, lithium ion batteries, field effect transistors, spintronics etc.
MoS2 can be used for a variety of applications such as ultrafast photonics, lithium ion batteries, and high speed flexible electronics.
