General description

Chromium(III) oxide is also referred to as chromic oxide. It is commonly employed as a marker in various digestion assays conducted on animals.
Chromium(III) oxide is mainly used as a green pigment in paints, inks and ceramics. On a commercial scale, it is synthesized by the reduction of sodium chromate with sulfur.[1]

Application

Chromium(III) oxide (Cr2O3) has been used as a standard for the determination of chromium content in cattle feces by employing different digestion techniques.1 It has also been employed as a digestibility marker in a study.[2]
Used in a solid-state reaction to form the new ternary oxide, CrVMoO7, can be used in selective oxidation.
Used in a solid-state reaction to form the new ternary oxide, CrVMoO7, which should find application in selective oxidation. Its crystal structure was also determined.[3]

The CP digestibility is traditionally measured by chemical analyses of CP and marker concentration in digesta and diets. Potentially, CP digestibility can also be predicted by marker concentrations and spectral analyses of digesta and diet. Spectroscopy is a rapid, nondestructive

The lack of water is the most serious threat to humanity that leads to more efficient water and sewage treatment. Currently, many scientists are looking for new coagulants, flocculants and physicochemical methods allowing for sufficient removal of pollutants from water.

Questions

  1. What is the average particle size for this chromium oxide powder?

    1 answer
    1. The particle size of this product is not a determined test specification, and testing is not performed on a lot to lot basis. However, historical data indicates the particle size is expected to be approximately 60 mesh.
