General description

α-Chlordane is an organochlorine pesticide, widely used in agriculture to control pests. These chemicals are carcinogenic and known to induce toxicity in several organisms.

Application

α-Chlordane may be used as a reference standard for the determination of α-chlordane in tree leaves of chestnut (Castanea sativa), hazel (Corylus avellana), oak (Quercus robur) and walnut tree (Juglans regia) using solid-phase extraction clean-up cartridges.
