Application

The fluorescence intensity, fluorescence quantum yield, time of decay, and lifetime are dependent upon the solvent. For example, the fluorescence intensity varies from being moderately strong in aqueous solution and very weak in hydrocarbon solvents. Additionally, the quantum yield has been demonstrated to increase with decreasing temperatures, for all solvent conditions.

Analysis Note

In addition to the emission maximum at 417 nm, there are lower maxima at 435, 400 and 460 nm.

We have recently reported that protein phosphate 2A (PP2A) inactivation resulted in increased phosphorylation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) c-Jun N-terminal kinase 1 (JNK1) and glucocorticoid receptors (GR) at Ser(226), thereby reducing GR nuclear translocation and causing corticosteroid insensitivity

Most G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) form di(oligo)-meric structures that constitute signaling and trafficking units and might be essential for receptor functions.
