General description

The Isopore membrane comprises polycarbonate film, with a smooth, glass-like surface that aids in clearer sample observation. This track-etched screen filter is recommended for sample analysis on the membrane surface. Isopore membranes are useful in airborne contaminants analysis using electron microscopy.

Application

  • Absorbable organic halides (AOX)
  • Particle monitoring
  • Air monitoring
  • Microplastics analysis
  • Microplastics analysis grade water

Isopore Membrane Filter has been used in:
  • the filtration of supernatant from isolated microplastics from riverine sediment dredge piles
  • Dimethyldioctadecylammonium bromide (DODAB) vesicle preparation for biophysical studies
  • filtering drinking water for microbes analysis

Features and Benefits

  • Isopore membranes display low background interference.
  • Surface particle retention enabling simplified counting and analysis.
  • Non-hygroscopic favors rapid drying and easy sample analysis.
  • Translucent material; available in brown variety as well.

Caution

Possible reduction in flow rates may occur after autoclaving.
