Specificity

Recognizes Neurofilament-Heavy (NF-H). The antibody stains sharply defined cytoplasmic filaments in neuronal cell bodies and especially axons.

Immunogen

Purified bovine NF-H.

Application

Anti-Neurofilament H Antibody is an antibody against Neurofilament for use in IC, IH, IH(P) & WB.
Western blot: 1:1,000-1:10,000 using ECL. Recognizes a band of 200-220 kDa.

Immunohistochemistry: 1:1,000-1:10,000 on frozen or paraffin embedded tissue sections. Suggested fixative is 4% paraformaldehyde.

Immunocytochemistry: 1:1,000-1:10,000 on cells in tissue culture fixed for one minute in 3.7% formalin and one minute in -20°C methanol.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Laminins have dramatic and varied actions on neurons in vitro. However, their in vivo function in brain development is not clear. Here we show that knockout of laminin gamma1 in the cerebral cortex leads to defects in neuritogenesis and neuronal

Recent animal work has suggested that cochlear synapses are more vulnerable than hair cells in both noise-induced and age-related hearing loss. This synaptopathy is invisible in conventional histopathological analysis, because cochlear nerve cell bodies in the spiral ganglion survive for
