Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. To coat APTES (741442) on a Si wafer surface:
1. Prepare a 1.6% APTES solution in toluene.
2. Soak the Si wafer in the solution for 2.5 hours.
3. Rinse the wafer using ethanol and water three times.
It's important to note that no initiator is needed. Varying the concentration and soaking time can result in different thicknesses of the APTES layer, but a layer that is too thick may exfoliate quickly.Helpful?
