Cell Line Description

The antibody is directed against the CD4 antigen on rat T cells and macrophages. The specificity is the same as that of W3/25, though their binding is non-competitive. OX-35 will compete with OX-36.

Immunogen

T blasts prepared in mixed lymphocyte reactions with purified rat T helper cells against irradiated spleen

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Subculture Routine

Seed at 5x10,000 viable cells/ml. Subculture when cells reach 5x100,000-1x1,000,000 cells/ml (usually after 3-4 days); 5% CO2; 37°C.
