Cell Line Description

Derived after alternate passage of LAF1 mouse pituitary tumour cells as tumours in animals and in cell culture. Cells produce adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) at approximately the rate of 1000mU/mg of cell protein per week.

Culture Medium

Ham′s F10 + 2mM Glutamine + 15% Horse Serum (HS) + 2.5% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Cells grow in large aggregates.

Subculture Routine
