Cellulose azure is an insoluble cellodextrin together with water soluble reactive dye.
Application
Cellulose Azure has been used as a substrate for determining cellulase activity. It has also been used as a supplement in Modified Melin-Norkrans (MMN) medium for determining the lignocellulolytic activity of the fungi.
