DVL2 is a member of multigene family that also contains DVL1 and DVL3. The vertebrate dishevelled proteins have approximately 40% amino acid sequence similarity with Drosophila dsh. DVL2 encodes a 90-kD protein that undergoes posttranslational phosphorylation to form a 95-kD cytoplasmic protein.
Specificity
Dishevelled-2 protein (dvl-2). By Western blot the antibody shows no cross reactivity with recombinant dishevelled-1 (dvl-1) or dishevelled-3 (dvl-3) protein. Pre-adsorption of the antibody with the immunogen peptide completely abolishes its reactivity by Western blot against disheveiled-2 protein.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 633-645 of human disheveiled-2 protein.

This Anti-Dishevelled-2 Antibody is validated for use in WB for the detection of Dishevelled-2.
Western blot: 1:1,000 using ECL. The antibody reacts with a protein of ~95kDa.
Dilute antibody in 50 mM PBS, pH 7.4 containing 1.5% sodium chloride and 1% normal animal serum (same species as the host of the secondary antibody).
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.
Maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots (not less than 10 μL) for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The use of high quality antiserum-grade plastic or glass is recommended.
