General description

CXCR3, a chemokine receptor, is highly similar to the interleukin 8B receptor and has been shown to mediate recruitment of T cells to sites of inflammation and retention of T-cells in the inflamed CNS. CXCR3 has been suggested to be the principal inflammatory chemokine receptor involved in intrathecal accumulation of T-cells in multiple sclerosis and diabetes. It is expressed on malignant B cells in chronic lymphoproliferative disorders (Jones et al., 2000). An alternatively spliced isoform, CXCR3B, has recently been identified (Lasagni et al., 2003). CXCR3 expression has been documented in the brain, lymphoid and other peripheral tissues, and in diseases including atherosclerosis, Alzheimer′s, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, lymphomas, asthma, neoplasms, leukemia, and inflammatory conditions of various organs.

Specificity

Recognizes human CXCR3. The specificity of this antibody has been evaluated by IHC staining of human tonsil.

Immunogen

Epitope: C-terminal domain
Synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within the C-terminal domain of human CXCR3. The immunogen has 82% homology with rat and mouse.

Application

Anti-CXC Chemokine Receptor 3 Antibody, C-terminal domain detects level of CXC Chemokine Receptor 3 & has been published & validated for use in IH(P).
Immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues)

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
