General description

Ag/AgCl (3M KCl) Reference Electrode is an essential part of many electrochemical sensor systems. It is widely used as an alternative to standard calomel electrode (SCE), as it is highly stable and free from mercury.

Application

  • Laser-induced graphene electrodes on polyimide membranes modified with gold nanoparticles for the simultaneous detection of dopamine and uric acid in human serum.: This study explores the use of modified graphene electrodes for biosensing applications, which can be relevant for developing high-sensitivity diagnostic tools in medical devices. (Ouedraogo et al., 2023).
  • Multielectrode Arrays at Wafer-Level for Miniaturized Sensors Applications: Electrochemical Growth of Ag/AgCl Reference Electrodes.: This paper discusses the miniaturization of Ag/AgCl reference electrodes, which is crucial for the development of compact and efficient electrochemical sensors in various applications, including medical devices and battery research. (Wu et al., 2023).
  • Electrochemical sensor based on Ni-exchanged natural zeolite/carbon black hybrid nanocomposite for determination of vitamin B(6).: The study highlights the use of advanced electrode materials for sensitive detection of biomolecules, emphasizing the potential of Ag/AgCl reference electrodes in complex electrochemical systems. (Porada et al., 2021).
  • Measurement of Ion Concentration in the Unstirred Boundary Layer with Open Patch-Clamp Pipette: Implications in Control of Ion Channels by Fluid Flow.: This research provides insights into the use of reference electrodes in ion concentration measurements, critical for understanding electrochemical processes in biological systems. (Kim et al., 2019).
  • Ascorbic Acid Determination Based on Electrocatalytic Behavior of Metal-Organic Framework MIL-101-(Cr) at Modified Carbon-Paste Electrode.: This paper demonstrates the application of Ag/AgCl reference electrodes in determining the electrocatalytic behavior of various compounds, beneficial for both energy storage and medical diagnostic applications. (Tashkhourian et al., 2019).

Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1 answer
    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. 2. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1 answer
    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.
