An improved routine method for embedding tissue, especially hard tissue, in polymethyl methacrylate (pMMA) is described. The improvements were: the final dehydration step before MMA infiltration was performed with methanol in a Soxhlet apparatus; the stabilizer hydroquinone was not extracted
