General description

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanopowder is a metal oxide that is an n-type direct band semiconducting material with a band gap of 3.37 eV. Its properties include high chemical stability, photostability, and high electrochemical coupling coefficient. It is classified as a semiconductor in group II-VI with bond energy of 60 meV, and high thermo-mechanical stability at ambient temperatures.

Application

ZnO nanopowder can be used for a variety of applications, such as catalysts, optical materials, UV absorbers, gas sensors and cosmetics.
Employed in the preparation of NaZnSiO3OH, a novel chiral framework material which has potential application in ion exchange, adsorption or catalysis.
