General description

Ginsenoside Rc, a bioactive constituent of plant genus Panax ginseng, belongs to the class of protopanaxadiol-type saponins. It can play an important role in disease prevention owing to its potential physiological activity.

Application

Ginsenoside Rc may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in herbal products/extracts containing Panax ginseng (Korean or Chinese ginseng) and P. quinquefolius (American ginseng), biological samples, and milk beverages by liquid chromatography (LC) based techniques.

Other Notes

This compound is commonly found in plants of the genus: panax
