General description

18:0-18:2 PS or 1-stearoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine is an asymmetric polyunsaturated phospholipid.

Application

18:0-18:2 PS or 1-stearoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine has been used in the preparation of liposomes. It might be used as a standard for the analysis of glycerophospholipid metabolism after exposure to polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)-153 in PC12 cells through targeted lipidomics by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) method.

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are persistent organic pollutants (POPs) that have neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, hepatotoxicity and immunotoxicity in both animals and humans.
