General description
Titanium(IV) oxide is a chemically inert and non-toxic semiconductormaterial widely used in the field of photovoltaics and environmentalremediation. Thephotocatalytic activity of anatase is superior tothat of other polymorphs of titanium oxide.
Application
Titanium(IV) oxide can be used as a precursor:
- To synthesize TiO2/ZnO- calcium alginate photocatalyst for removal of copper from aqueous solutions.
- To fabricate implantable composite bioelectrode for biosensing applications.
Features and Benefits
- Higher electron mobility
- Low dielectric constant
- Lower ability to adsorb oxygen
- Higher Fermi level
- High degree of hydroxylation
- Superior biocompatibility
- Corrosion resistance

Photoacoustic imaging (PAI) standardisation demands a stable, highly reproducible physical phantom to enable routine quality control and robust performance evaluation. To address this need, we have optimised a low-cost copolymer-in-oil tissue-mimickingmaterial formulation. The base material consists of mineral oil, copolymer

Controlling autonomous propulsion of microswimmers is essential for targeted drug delivery and applications of micro/nanomachines in environmental remediation and beyond. Herein, we report two-dimensional (2D) carbon nitride-based Janus particles as highly efficient, light-driven microswimmers in aqueous media. Due to the

Handheld imaging probes are needed to extend the clinical translation of optical elastography to in vivo applications, yet such probes have received little attention. In this paper, we present the first demonstration of optical palpation using a handheld probe. Optical
