General description
Sigma′s GenElute™ Plasma/Serum RNA Purification Mini Kit provides a fast, reliable, reproducible and simple procedure for isolating circulating RNA and exosomal RNA from small plasma/serum inputs ranging from 10 μL to 25 μL, with various kit formats addressing different plasma/serum input volumes. Purification is based on spin column chromatography that uses Sigma′s proprietary resin separation matrix. The kit is designed to isolate all sizes of circulating RNA, including microRNA, as well as all sizes of exosomal RNA.
Sigma′s GenElute™ Plasma/Serum RNA Purification Mini Kit provides a clear advantage over other available kits in that they do not require phenol/chloroform or any protease treatments. RNA can be isolated from either fresh or frozen samples using these kits. Moreover, the kits allow the user to elute into a flexible elution volume ranging from 10 μL to 100 μL. Typical yields of free-circulating and exosomal RNA vary depending on the input sample, as the amount of RNA present in plasma and serum will depend upon the health status of the individual.
