Is there any recommendation regarding how often the septum can be pierced with a needle for removal of gas, until the septum loses its integrity?
1 answer-
The septum is located at the base flange of the valve with the bag film below. The septum does not come into contact with the sample. The septum allows repeated punctures with syringes without leakage. The number of times the fluoropolymer septum may be punctured before it loses its integrity had not been determined. A small guage needle should assure maximum life of the septum.
