Cluster of differentiation 24 (CD24) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell surface ligand for P-selectin. It is also expressed in the central nervous system. CD24 is located on human chromosome 6q21.
Immunogen
Glycoproteins purified from human NALM-1 cell line
Application
Monoclonal Anti-CD24-PE antibody has been used in fluorescence activated cell-sorting (FACS) analysis.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Cluster of differentiation 24 (CD24) is involved in neuronal development, intercellular signal transmission and immune regulation. This protein is linked with several autoimmune diseases, tumors and malignancies. It plays an important role in T-cell proliferation and lymphocyte maturation. CD24 also participates in self-renewal, proliferation and differentiation.
