Application

Selected application examples
Calcium ionophore II (ETH 129) was used in preparing calcium selective minielectrodes which are used in determination of dissociation constant (Kd).
Suitable for intracellular calcium measurements.
Lipophilic ionophore for Ca2+-selective electrodes with detection limit in the sub-nanomolar range. Extremely efficient carrier of Ca2+-ions; induces a selectivity in membranes for Ca2+ over Mg2+ by a factor of about 104.

Packaging

Bottomless glass bottle. Contents are inside inserted fused cone.

A calcium ion-selective PVC membrane electrode based on neutral carrier n,n,n',n'-tetracyclohexyl-3-oxapetanediamide, using di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate as the plasticizer and potassium tetrakis (4-chlorophenyl) borate as the additive is reported in this paper. The ion selective membrane consists of 1 wt% of the Ca2+
