Gene Information

General description

Research area: Cell Signaling

Product Source: Expressed in E.coli BL21 (DE3) pLysS cells Recombinant human full length PKA, catalytic subunit type alpha, untagged Protein kinase A (PKA) is a serine protein kinase and heterotetrameric holoenzyme that targets serine and threonine residues.
Recombinant human full length PKA, catalytic subunit type alpha, untagged

Biochem/physiol Actions

Protein Target: PKA; Target Sub-Family: AGC. Protein kinases are vital for integrating signaling networks within eukaryotic cells. In Hedgehog-responsive cells, PKA is crucial for regulating proliferation and fate determination by influencing Hedgehog signaling transduction. PKA has numerous targets that are linked to adhesion or migration.
