Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) (also called CASO Broth or Casein-peptone Soymeal-peptone Broth) is a granulated universal culture medium, free from inhibitors and indicators, for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious aerobic bacteria, yeasts, and molds.
Application
Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) is used for sterility testing of non-sterile preparations and products. It is used to test for specified microorganisms or total viable aerobic count determinations using the MPN method. It is also used as pre-enrichment medium for the detection of food pathogens, e.g. Salmonella, STEC.
