General description

3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl azide is a fluoroalkyl azide reagent active in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (click reaction). In addition to its use as a highly fluorinated building block, it can also be functionalized onto biomolecules, advanced materials, or polymers containing an alkyne. Its relative stability and number of magnetically equivalent fluorines make it a highly effective 19F NMR sensor for these and other materials.
