In general, a pulsation-free pump is needed for the successful generation of droplets. This applies to both syringe pumps and pressure-driven pumps, each having their pros and cons. If the Kadota syringe pump enables the application of a pulsation-free flow to the chip and can be loaded with enough media in the syringe to run for a sufficient duration, it should work. The appropriate accessories, such as Mini Luer connectors, tubing, and a syringe adapter, are necessary to connect the syringe to the chip.

Microfludic chip x1
Application
Droplet generator chip - Droplet size variation, Fluidic 947, COC is made of COC (Cyclic olefin copolymer). The microfluidic chip Fluidic 947 features eight flow focusing droplet generator units to evaluate the formation of various droplet sizes. This chip accommodates the smallest nozzle size, as little as 10 μm and works well for experiments that require droplets with small dimensions and volumes. The inlet channels for both continuous and disperse phase are designed to enable stable droplet generation with a certain degree of flow restriction.
