General description

PVDF membranes have higher mechanical strength than NC membranes and, thus, are more suitable for Western blotting applications where stripping and reprobing is needed. In addition, PVDF membranes exhibit higher protein binding capacity, however, with a tendency for a higher background, compared with NC membranes.

Features and Benefits

  • High protein binding capacity for easy signal detection.
  • High protein retention even after harsh washing steps.
  • Maximum capture of proteins during transfers minimizes sample loss.
  • 0.2 µm pore size for higher surface area, resulting in better binding of low molecular weight proteins.
  • Available in popular precut sizes for laboratory applications.

Storage and Stability
