Application

Airway Epithelial Cell Growth Medium is a serum-free medium optimized for the in vitro cultivation of epithelial cells from large air passages. The medium is optimized for primary human cells, but can also be used for equine, porcine, murine, bat and rat airway epithelial cells.

Recommended for:
Human Nasal Epithelial Cells (HNEpC)
Human Bronchial Epithelial Cells (HBEpC)
Human Tracheal Epithelial Cells (HTEpC)

Packaging

Part of a Cell Culture System offered in a variety of formats:Growth Medium (Ready-to-use): Includes Basal Medium and SupplementMixGrowth Medium Kit: Includes Basal Medium and SupplementPackSupplementMix: Contains all media supplements premixed in one vialSupplementPack: Contains all media supplements as individual vials

If stored properly, the products are stable until the expiry date stated on the label. After adding the supplements to the Basal Medium, the shelf life of the complete medium is 6 weeks at 4 to 8°C. Do not freeze the complete medium. For use, prewarm only an aliquot of the complete medium and keep the remaining medium refrigerated at 4 to 8°C.

Analysis Note

All lots of PromoCell Airway Epithelial Cell Growth Medium are subjected to comprehensive quality control tests using primary human airway epithelial cells. Each lot is checked for growth promoting activity, adherence rate, and typical morphology of the tested airway epithelial cells. Approved in-house lots of media are used as a reference. In addition, all lots of media have been tested for the absence of microbial contaminants (fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma).
