General description

Diazinon, belongs to the organophosphorus class of pesticides, extensively used in agriculture. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of cholinesterase in insects and mammals and also brings about non-reversible phosphorylation of esterases in the central nervous system of the organism.

Application

Diazinon may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in aqueous samples and biological samples using different chromatography techniques.
