1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate is a room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL).[1]

Application

The enzymatic resolution of homophenylalanine ester to form enantiomeric homophenylalanine can be performed using 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate as a reaction medium.[2]
