General description
Dkk-1, His•Tag, Mouse, Recombinant, consists of amino acids 30-272, fused at the C-terminus to a His•Tag sequence, and expressed in NS0-dervied mouse myeloma cells.
Recombinant, murine Dickkopf related protein-1 (Dkk-1), consisting of amino acids 30-272, fused at the C-terminus to a His•Tag sequence, and expressed in NS0-dervied mouse myeloma cells. Dkk-1 is a well-documented antagonist of the Wnt signaling pathway. The balance between Dkk-1 inhibition and Wnt signaling is essential for bone formation and homeostasis.
Biochem/physiol Actions
ND₅₀: 0.2-1 µg/ml as measured by the inhibition of Wnt-3a-induced alkaline phosphatase production in MC3T3-E1 mouse osteoblastic cells.
Reduction of Axis-inducing activity: 60-100% reduction (using 1 ng rmDkk-1 per embryo) in the number of secondary axes produced in the presence of 10-20 pg Xwnt-8 mRNA using early Xenopus embryos.
