General description

SupraSolv® hypergrade for organic trace analysis is a unique and universal solvent quality which can be employed for all three GC detection methods (ECD, FID and MS). Thanks to the large retention time range, even low-boiling substances can be reliably analyzed.

Application

  • Phytochemical Composition and Antimicrobial Efficacy of Salvadora persica Root Extracts Against Carbapenem-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii.: This study evaluates the effectiveness of phytochemicals extracted with n-hexane from Salvadora persica roots against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, demonstrating n-hexane′s role in isolating bioactive compounds with potential therapeutic applications (Wan Alias et al., 2024).

  • GC-MS profiling and biological investigations of Cissampelos pareira L. & Lantana camara L.: Utilizing GC-MS analysis, this research characterizes the chemical profile of extracts obtained using n-hexane among other solvents, from two plant species, highlighting its importance in identifying bioactive compounds (Wasim et al., 2024).

  • The Analysis of Leontopodium leontopodioides (Willd.) Beauv. Chemical Composition by GC/MS and UPLC-Q-Orbitrap MS.: This article focuses on the comprehensive chemical analysis of Leontopodium leontopodioides using various techniques including GC/MS where n-hexane plays a crucial role in the extraction process, providing detailed insights into the plant′s chemical makeup (Chen et al., 2024).

  • Magnetic field assisted centrifugal acceleration thin-layer chromatography: An approach to investigate the magnetic field effects on separation parameters including retention factor difference, selectivity factor, and resolution.: This innovative study explores the impact of magnetic fields on chromatographic separations where n-hexane is used as a mobile phase, potentially enhancing the resolution and efficiency of chromatographic processes (Namdari et al., 2024).

  • Cloning, Expression, Characterization and Immobilization of a Recombinant Carboxylesterase from the Halophilic Archaeon, Halobacterium salinarum NCR-1.: Although primarily a biotechnological study, the research includes the use of n-hexane in the solvent extraction processes necessary for the analysis and testing of the recombinant enzyme′s activity (Ortega-de la Rosa et al., 2024).
