Application

IEICO-4Cl is a transparent, low-bandgap non-fullerene acceptor. It is a chlorinated derivative of IEICO, which imparts it with a lower optical bandgap and lower energy levels. The weak photon absorption in the visible spectrum of IEICO-4Cl, allows high-performance organic solar cells to be fabricated with outstanding transparency. Furthermore, changing the polymer acceptor pairing with IEICO-4Cl allows tuning of the color of the solar cell device fabricated.
