General description

4-(Trifluoromethyl)pyridine is a pyridine derivative. It can be prepared by trifluoromethylation of 4-iodobenzene.

Application

4-(Trifluoromethyl)pyridine may be used in the following:

  • Synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
