N-Ethyl-1-naphthylamine was used in characterization of nitrite-dependent genotoxins and tumour promoter-like substances in fermented fish sauce by cross coupling reaction. It may be used in the identification of triazenes metabolites in urine by coupling and forming colored azo dyes.
