Gene Information

human ... LAMA1(284217)

General description

Anti-LAMA1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total LAMA1 protein.
Laminins are extracellular matrix proteins. The LAMA1 (laminin subunit α 1) gene is mapped to chromosome 18p11.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human LAMA1.

Immunogen Range: 2501-2550

Application

Anti-LAMA1, C-Terminal antibody has been used in western blotting.
Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.

Biochem/physiol Actions

LAMA1 (laminin subunit α 1) participates in several diseases like cancer, infections, inflammatory diseases and autoimmune disorders. Mutations in LAMA1 result in cerebellar dysplasia and cysts with and without retinal dystrophy. LAMA1 is also essential in the assembly of basement membrane and early growth of embryo.
