Gene Information

human ... UTF1(8433)

General description

UTF1 is a transcription factor that was originally identified due to its expression in Embryonic Stem (ES) cells, Embryonic Carcinoma (EC) cells, and germ line tissues. Expression was not found in adult tissues. It was thought at the time that UTF1 might play an important role in early molecular events of embryogenesis. Subsequent studies have shown that UTF1 is a target of the Oct-4 / Sox-2 complex, a key determinant of pluripotency in stem cells

Immunogen

Recombinant GST Fusion protein, human UTF-1

Application

Anti-UTF-1 Antibody, clone 5G10.2 detects level of UTF-1 & has been published & validated for use in ELISA, WB & IC.

The aim of this study was to elucidate the molecular status of single human adult germ stem cells (haGSCs) and haGSC colonies, which spontaneously developed from the CD49f MACS and matrix- (collagen-/laminin+ binding-) selected fraction of enriched spermatogonia. Single-cell transcriptional

Undifferentiated embryonic cell transcription factor-1 (UTF1) is an important transcription factor during development, which plays critical roles in cell fate determination. However, its expression and function in somatic tissues remain unclear. Here, we investigated the expression pattern of the UTF1
