General description

Proteinase 3 is one of the serine proteinases localized in azurophil granules of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. It has been identified as the autoantigen of Wegener granulomatosis, a systemic vasculitis complicated by melomonocyte proliferation. It exhibits proteolytic activity towards a range of substrates. It is physiologically inhibited by α1-antitrypsin. The protein has been described as having antibiotic and growth-promoting properties and causing emphysema when administered by tracheal insufflation. Proteinase 3 (PR-3) is also known as myeloblastin and p29b.

    1. The volume and concentration are lot specific.

      Examples below:
      Lot: 6J30L72900
      Volume: 23.6 µL
      Concentration: 1.06 mg/mL

      Lot: 8A10L72900
      Volume: 22.9 µL
      Concentration: 1.0917 mg/mL

      The concentration of the newer lots should be on the vial label. The volume can then be calculated using the lot specific concentration and the pack size, which is 25 µg.
