Fish oil is derived from the tissues of oily fish. It lowers blood pressure and high triglyceride levels. Fish oil may be used to treat depression, psychosis, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder and Alzheimer disease. It reduces inflammation, enhances cognition and decreases cardiovascular disease risk.

Menhaden Oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. When used to partially supplement a high-fat diet in diabetic rats, Menhaden oil improved end points for peripheral neuropathy by improving motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity.
