General description

Potassium phosphate monobasic (KH₂PO₄) is a commonly use reagent to prepare Phosphate buffers, such as Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS).

Application

KH₂PO₄ has been used as a component for:

• phosphate buffers, including PBS buffer used for molecular biology and cell culture-protein extraction buffer for enzymatic assay s
• in the mobile phase for HPLC to measure neurotransmitters from cell extracts
