Opis

General description

Caged Ca²⁺ chelator that undergoes a major and rapid decrease in Ca²⁺-binding affinity upon photolysis. Can be microinjected or used with permeabilized cells. May also be useful as caged Mg²⁺ chelator. K_d (Ca²⁺) = 5 nM; K_d (Mg²⁺) = 2-5 µM.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
