Opis

General description

Synthetic (+)-cis isomer that acts as an L-type Ca²⁺ channel antagonist. Similar in function to nifedipine and verapamil. Has a negative inotropic effect on the heart. Strongly suppresses conductance at the A-V node and automatically at the S-A node. Has also been shown to regulate Ca²⁺ release from intracellular stores in neutrophils.
