General description

Ammonium metatungstate hydrate is used as a starting material to prepare catalysts for the reduction of NOx. It can also be used as a precursor to synthesize tungsten oxide thin films by chemical vapor deposition method.

Application

  • Preparation of quaternary tungsten bronze nanoparticles by a thermal decomposition of ammonium metatungstate with oleylamine: This study examines the decomposition pathways of ammonium metatungstate hydrate into metatungstate anions and their applications in creating tungsten bronze nanoparticles (J Choi et al., 2015).
