Application

Pefachrome® substrates are used for chromogenic assays of various serine proteinases. Pefachrome® uPA is used for the detection of serine proteases such as urokinase-type plasminogen activator (urokinase).

Packaging

1 piece contains 10 μmol Pefachrome® uPA and 20 mg glycine

The Journal of biological chemistry, 285(30), 22950-22956 (2010-05-21)
Enzymatic catalysis of biochemical reactions is essential to all living systems. The "lock and key" and "induced fit" models were early contributions to our understanding of the mechanisms involved in the reaction between an enzyme and its substrate. However, whether

A simple test for detection of urokinase in Shigella is described. The test is performed by suspending a loopful of bacteria in 100 microliters of a buffered 1mM solution of benzoyl-beta-alanyl glycyl-arginyl-4-nitroanilide acetate (Chromozym U). Enzymatic activity is revealed by

Although pemphigus vulgaris (PV)-IgG has been shown to activate urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) in cultured keratinocytes, activation of uPA is thought to have no primary role in PV-acantholysis, because PV-IgG is still pathogenic in uPA- and tissue-PA-knockout mice. To determine

The retention of urokinase activity after frozen storage was studied. Urokinase powder was reconstituted aseptically in sterile water for injection or preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride injection to a final concentration of 5000 IU/mL. Samples were stored in 5-mL plastic syringes
