General description

Nanotechnology led to the production of nanosized synthetic crystalline form silica. Nanosilica can be synthesized using reverse microemulsion, flame synthesis and sol-gel methods. Organic-inorganic hybrid materials enhance the mechanical and calorific properties which attribute nanoeffect and schemical coalescents between nanoparticles and polymer. Silica nanocomposite is widely used in the building fields. Uniform distribution of nano-silica in the polymer improves the strength, abrasion-resistance. Nano-silica was prepared by sol-gel technique. RP-18W plates are used in 2D TLC (two-dimensional thin layer chromatography) systems to develop reversed-phase chromatograms are produced.

Application

Nano-Silica gel RP-18W on Alu-foil may be used for TLC, 2D-TLC and HPTLC.
